It’s only the first week of 2018 and the president of the United States has declared that he is a “very stable genius”. I am still laughing, but I will stop so I can write.
Everyone with an ounce of good sense has probably concluded that 45 is not the “stable genius” they want leading our country. I believe, based on his historically low poll numbers, majority of Americans have observed and been adversely affected by his not-so- brilliant (well let’s call them dumb) executive orders, deplorable judge picks, abominable tax legislation, outrageous tweets, bombastic and insulting statements, and his ignorance of the law.
I guessed that it would only be a matter of time before the most disloyal person in the universe would turn negative on another unscrupulous man that he now calls Sloppy Steve. Oh well! If this wasn’t so ridiculous and scary, I might start laughing again. But we can’t laugh it off. We must save ourselves from the destroyer who sits in the White House and the enablers who protect him.
I have decided to optimize my optimism, which may sound strange, but makes perfect sense to the “genius” within me. This will keep me from getting discouraged, and it will fuel my determination to raise my voice and identify ways that I can do to help end of this international nightmare.
I pledge not to give up hope. His advisors would be wise to tell him not to count out the resistance. Oh, I forgot…He doesn’t listen. So, I hope all people with the genius gene (that’s us) keep fighting and moving forward.
